In the 1950s and the 1960s you had to pay 5 or 10 kopecks to enter to the park and the wooden fence was all around it. The two small windows were cashiers and the lucky visitor was given a small piece of paper like a bus ticket to be kept all the time of the visit. As kids we knew very well all the holes in the fence and under it and slipped through them free of charge. Don’t remember that militia cared about us. We were never stopped.
