She takes extra care in safety goggles and surgical mask
The legendary actress wasn’t taking any chances as she travelled on Sunday and ensured she was fully protected against coronavirus
Dame Helen Mirren wasn’t taking any chances as she boarded a flight wearing a face mask and goggles on Sunday.
The legendary actress, 74, was taking the safety precautions seriously as she did her bit to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Sharing a selfie on Instagram with her 868,000 followers, Helen proudly wore a large pair of goggles to protect her eyes during the flight.
She also wore a light blue face mask that was tucked into her goggles.
Helen also finished her ensemble off with a white and black L.A Dodgers cap and an elegant white sweater.
The iconic performer also added a huge pair of headphones, and wrote “it’s a look!” in her caption.
Helen has been widely praised by her followers for taking such care while travelling.
“Oh thank God, someone besides me wearing goggles and wearing them correctly over the mask, also worn correctly. Full marks,” exclaimed one follower.
Another added: “Serving PPE fierceness.”

“A great look! Everyone should be copying it,” added a third.
Other followers joked that PPE allowed for celebrities to wear a disguise when out in public.
In recent months, Helen has kept herself busy during the lockdown with lots of gardening.
She has also thrown her full support behind staff working in intensive care as the globe reeled from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Urging her followers to donate during the crisis in March, Helen had offered a early morning make-up free selfie on Instagram in response to donations.
“In return for this pic of me literally first thing in the morning, please donate to the intensive care support,” she wrote, as well as providing a link to The Intensive Care Society.
In another post, the Prime Suspect actress led a gushing tribute to mark her appreciation for health care workers on International Nurses’ Day.
Helen thanked nurses in the clip, adding: ‘Well today of all days we can say with our hands on our hearts, to the nurses, you are worth it.”
